![]() I leave the bed to turn the alarm off, and I'm awake enough to function - if not thrive - without falling back asleep. Half the time, I'm already awake before it goes off because the meds have already begun to kick in. I get up, take my prescribed stimulants, drink a glass of water, open all my blinds to let the sun in, and go back to bed. ![]() I set two alarms on a VERY LOUD digital alarm clock with a battery backup, which I keep across the room from my bed. ![]() Say I need to be awake and functional(ish) at 8 a.m. It also gets me up for work, brunch, and feeding my cat at a reasonable hour. This hack got me through the second half of college after I returned from my ADHD-induced medical leave.
